Where is your studio located?I have a home studio, located in my...home. And before you ask why I don't post my address: It is my home, so I have decided to not post it on the internet. Once you contact us and we get to know each other a little better (Hopefully as prospective teacher and student!), then we will share our location. We are located in Archbold, Ohio though!

What curriculum do you use?I do my best to taylor the lessons and materials I use to the specific needs of each student. That being said, my go-to method (or lesson) books are Faber Piano Adventures by Nancy & Randall Faber and Alfred's Basic Piano Libraryby Willard A. Palmer, Morton Manus, and Amanda Vick Lethco. I am always on the lookout for great new resources, so if you/your student prefer a different method series, please let me know!

What does the "annual studio fee" actually cover?"I use the $30 studio fee to purchase a student's lesson books, theory books, auxilary sheet music, and personalized lesson materials like The Music Box or theory games. The remaining funds cover the cost of piano upkeep (yearly tuning, maintenance, etc.), snacks & goodies for events such as recitals & performances, and any event space cost such as reservation and cleanup.

How long and often should I practice? There short answer is that there is no magical number... The bare minimum that I ask of my students, however, goes as follows: Aim to practice at least 5 out of 7 days a week. Ages 3-5: 5-15 minutes a day Ages 5-7: 15 minutes a day Ages 8-10: 15-30 minutes a day Ages 10-12: 20-30 minutes a day 12 & up: varies depending on your skill level It doesn't have to be consecutive minutes, but you can't learn piano if you never sit down at the piano bench to practice!
